Michaela Dzurovčínová is a professional freelance dancer, choreographer, and director based in Prague. She holds a Master’s degree in Choreography and Directing from HAMU. Michaela actively collaborates with prominent theatre companies such as the National Theatre Prague (performing in Rusalka, Platée, Legenda z Erinu), National Theatre Brno (performing in Le nozze di Figaro), Divadlo J. K. Tyla in Plzeň (choreography for Jesus Christ Superstar, Orlando, Rebecca), DISK Theatre (choreography for Maloměšťákova svatba, How to be Happy), DAMU (choreography for Julius Caesar, Marná lásky snaha, S vyloučením veřejnosti), Štúdio 12 (performing and choreography for Werther), Divadlo Fénix (performing and choreography for Můj lékař Mendelson), Dočasná Company (performing in Protagonista, Pobyt), and POCKETART (performing in Fairy Tales).
In addition to performing, she is also the author of her own dance projects, including Out of Comfort, Out of Control, and Za zavretými dverami. In film, she has directed and choreographed short dance films such as Impulsum (which received an Honourable Mention at the 2024 UNICA International Film Festival) and has contributed choreography to films like Ve stínu tance and Posledná sezóna.
Michaela is a versatile and adaptable artist with a strong foundation in contemporary dance, ballet, street dance, ballroom, and Latin dance. She learns new choreographies and styles quickly and is able to adapt to new skills and challenges required by her work. She is fluent in Slovak, Czech, and English, and has an intermediate level of German.
