Markéta Krumphanzlová

I am primarily devoted to theatre acting.

My first formative experience was the role of Christine in a student dramatic production of the musical The Phantom of the Opera, created as part of the two-year project “Theatre in English – The Phantom Crew of Lauder School, under the direction of Klára Synková and with the participation of guest professional dancer Saša Živkovič.

From 2017 to 2019 I was a member of Prague Youth Theatre, where I performed in the productions One Thousand and One Nights, The Canterbury Tales, This Is the Room, and The Laramie Project. With the theatre ensemble of Gymnázium Jana Nerudy, I appeared at the Činoherní klub in the role of Frida in Henry IV by Luigi Pirandello.

I am currently a member of Theatre Naoko Prague, Jan Kaška Theatre (Zbraslav), and the Lauriger Baroque Theatre Ensemble, which focuses primarily on latin baroque plays with religious and mythological themes.

My introduction to baroque acting and its principles came in 2021 through the Franco-Italian actor Lorenzo Charoy at the International Summer School of Early Music in Valtice, held annually in early July. Since then I have been a regular participant, having completed the 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 editions, and the 2025 programme under the guidance of Magdalena Švecová.

Since childhood I have also been engaged in historical dance, currently focusing mainly on 17th- and 18th-century dance. I am a member of the ensemble Baroque Balance, with which I have performed twice at the Baroque Festivities in Český Krumlov (June 2024, 2025), as well as at the Musica Viva Festival in Dobřichovice, the Baroque Festival at Lipnice Castle, performances in Světcích near Tachov, and at the Monastic Festivities in Ostrov (May 2025).

I gained experience in screen acting through student film productions with FAMU International (2018–2021, 2023), where I also completed acting courses and workshops.
