Jana Markusková

I am a student at Dundalk Institute of Technology where I finished a BA in Musical Theatre and from Semptember will continue with BA (Hons) Drama and Performance. I am a singer, actor, and performer of Czech origin, with an interest in stage management as well. 

I started in a choir at the age of six. Since the age of fifteen, I attended the annual Summer Acting school for three years and started taking solo singing classes at the Primary Art School Antonín Dvořák, until I moved to Ireland to study at DkIT.

During my time at DkIT, I worked on multiple scene studies, one of which was Twelfth Night The Musical, where I played the role of Malvolio. In the final year performance of the musical We Will Rock You at DkIT, I played the roles of Sixx and Teen Queen, and I also stage managed the show. I finished the school year with a performance of Misfits Showcase, which was a student led scene study from the musicals Hadestown, Heathers and Avenue Q. In this showcase, I portrayed the roles of Persephone and Stoner Chick and I also stage managed the performance.
