Biography

Jakub Vašek (1998, Frýdek-Místek) is an actor, writer, and director active in theatre, television, and online content. He studied musical drama at the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava. He has guest-starred at the Silesian Theatre in Opava and, after completing his studies, performed at Divadlo Mír. He currently appears on stages of the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre and runs his own theatre company, Divadlo Koktejl. In the past, he also led the Chamber Theatre Arté.

On screen, he appeared in the television film DUKLA 61 (2018) and in series such as Ulice, Modrý kód, Místo zločinu Ostrava, ZOO, Stíny v mlze, and the film Adam the Creator (2021). He has also acted in television commercials (e.g., Jihlavanka) and performed in comedy sketches, including with the group Tři tygři.

In addition to acting, he is involved in directing, dramaturgy, and production. He is behind successful touring productions such as Román pro ženy and Knoflíkáři, presented across the Czech Republic. His work is characterized by a blend of comedic perspective and naturalistic, psychologically driven acting.
