Biography
Danny Exnar is a Swiss-Czech actor and pianist. Born in Switzerland to Czech parents who emigrated from Czechoslovakia in 1968. After studying jazz piano in Prague and philosophy in Berne, Danny Exnar graduated from the acting academy Otto-Falckenberg-Schule in Munich, Germany. At The Juilliard School in New York City, he received further training in acting in English for his portrayal of the Canadian pianist Glenn Gould for a stage production. Danny Exnar is native in German, Czech and Swiss-German and is fluent in English and French.

Danny plays the Czech character "Vaclav" in Roman Polanski's last film "The Palace" alongside Mickey Rourke. In the German-Austrian-Czech miniseries "Sternstunde der Mörder" ("Final Hours") from 2025, Danny Exnar plays another memorable Czech character ("Karel Malina"). He is part of the main cast of the new Swiss sitcom "Unsere kleine Botschaft" ("Our little Embassy") with its world premiere at the Zurich Film Festival 2025.
